GET INVOLVED

Volunteer

At The Remarkability Project, everything we do is rooted in community. Whether you’re supporting participants behind the scenes or stepping into the spotlight yourself, our programs thrive because of people who believe in creating spaces where everyone belongs and every story matters.

There are two meaningful ways to get involved with Friend to Friend: as a coach or as a performer.

Coaches

Our coaches are the heart of the Friend to Friend program. As a volunteer coach, you’ll build one‑to‑one and small‑group connections with participants, offering encouragement, guidance, and support as they explore acting, singing, movement, and storytelling.

You don’t need performance experience to be a great coach. What matters most is patience, reliability, and a willingness to show up with kindness and curiosity. Coaches help create a safe, joyful environment where participants feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. Simply put, the success of Friend to Friend would not be possible without our coaches.

Performers

Friend to Friend performers are youth and young adults with remarkabilities who want a place to express themselves, build skills, and be part of a creative community. As a performer, you’ll participate in weekly rehearsals that incorporate movement, music, acting, and dance, all within a fun and supportive environment.
Performers build confidence, friendships, and self‑expression while working together toward community performances that celebrate their unique gifts. No prior theater experience is needed. Just a desire to participate, connect, and share your story.
